Weekend Excursion
Last weekend Evan and I took a day trip to see some of the major sites of Central Texas south of Austin. First we headed to Natural Bridge Caverns. In the first photo, we pose with the mascot of the cave system, some sort of dinosaur named Grendel. The second and third photos are some of the amazing sites we saw inside the caves. It was all very spectacular. Afterwards, we traveled down to San Antonio, to see the Alamo and Riverwalk. The fourth photo is of some of the first folks we saw once we got to San Antonio. My goodness. The fifth photo is Evan and me outside the Alamo, and the sixth is of the portrait of my ancestor John William Smith on the wall of the Alamo. Later, we strolled the Riverwalk, ate some barbacoa, and went back to Austin, joyfully satisfied with the sites of South Central Texas.
